It's no wonder why so many people around the world are drawn to the movie, but if you've never seen it, I'm going to spoil plot twists and other crucial parts of the plot here. The first film is about a trio of friends who leave India and travel to America to become construction workers; they end up joining an engineering school rather than building homes. After their first year, they're found out for cheating on their exams and expelled from the school. Along with their friend Lajja (that's her name), they then plan a heist that goes totally wrong, leaving them stranded in Nigeria with nothing left but Lajja's father's baggage store... until they find out there's a million dollars in the store safe. The first movie really only sets the scene for what's to come, and it's done wonderfully well at that. The characters are endearing, and you're guaranteed to laugh through most of the film. The second part deals with their journey home from Nigeria, where they've been arrested; their back-and-forth journey is treated as a road trip comedy and it's definitely hilarious. But I loved the third installment the most: this is where all of India comes together to make a difference... There was something about seeing thousands of people singing along with them that left me choked up. And that's when I realized that 3 Idiots was not about the four main characters at all. It was about all of India coming together to make a difference in the world. And if you're under the impression that the movie is simply about making money, you might be surprised to learn how much time and effort the guys put towards their cause outside of work. The most important thing about 3 Idiots isn't what happens in it, but how it inspires you to live your life with positivity... This is how I feel about this movie: "If just one person sees this film, they will have become a better person. Just the fact that they have seen this film will change something about them." The character I fell in love with, she was so well written. She had so much fire behind her. I loved her because she wasn't just somebody to be saved or triumphed, but somebody who could do things for herself. This is one of the best movies ever made because it's also about friendship - friendships that you have to hard work at, friendships that are worth it, and relationships that are well worth the effort. "I wouldn't even say I'm a spokesperson for the Indian community. It's really not about us at all. It's not about me doing this for my community. This is something I did because I thought it was a great film, and I wanted to encourage people to see it." The movie did get a bit of attention from the Diaspora after its release, but it wasn't what he had hoped for. "It didn't change a lot of things in India," he told me with a rueful expression on his face. This is why he feels so strongly about the social impact the movie has had on people. cfa1e77820
